Here is an oversimplified explanation of what's happening now in #onted.
Education is a PROVINCIAL responsibility.
The Ministry of Education ( @Sflecce) sets curriculum, policy and, importantly, FUNDING.

This is KEY:
@fordnation REFUSES to change the FUNDING FORMULA, even during C19. For every 23 students, the gov't pays for ONE teacher, whether they are in-class or online.
@Sflecce's haphazard, last-minute planning & lack of safety protocols (and $$$) is apparent to all.

Ford's school reopening plan basically consists of:
-masks for most
-lipservice re: cleaning, HVAC & nurses
-impossible-to-meet physical distancing guidelines (in schools and on buses)
-"cohorts" (useless, considering the sheer number of contacts kid have outside of class)

This has driven many to opt for online learning, resulting in 
classes & a scheduling mess.
It's NOT because parents think online is better. For most kids (of all ages), it's NOT.
Parents are making these decisions because they have NO confidence in Ford's "plan"...

As C19 numbers creep up, even MORE opt for online, resulting in:
more classes collapsed into larger classes, resulting in courses & programs being cut
more Ts removed from school communities to teach virtually
more empty classrooms

Classes are collapsed & class sizes increased in order to meet the requirements of the funding formula set by...that's right... @fordnation.
In the meantime, @Sflecce spins this AMAZING plan in an effort to lure parents in and get them to CONSENT to the demise of public edu.

It's definitely unethical but this is what @Sflecce is supposed to be doing...causing chaos in an effort to dismantle the system (or finishing what Snobelin and Harris started).
NO MATTER WHAT THE COST.
At the same time, both Ford and Lecce start setting up SCAPEGOATS...

The MONEY is there.
Ford is choosing not to spend it, at least not on KIDS.
He could change the funding formula & reduce class sizes but he's NOT.
This is a CHOICE and it's UNCONSCIONABLE.
