🛣️🏪🏗️ @GrantThorntonUK finds that county authorities are at the heart of local leadership, with many acting as the place leader: big enough to drive large-scale economic growth and projects, whilst having a intimate knowledge of their different communities and businesses.
🤝The report identified six ways that counties use their influence, scale, and powers to drive real change.

These will be even more vital as we look to economic recovery efforts and in endeavours to level-up the country.
But the report finds that counties do not have the powers and tools to match their ambitions.

@GrantThorntonUK calls for reforms to funding streams so they are distributed more fairly and effectively, alongside targeted investment.
