Another meme lefties like to spew is that we destroyed the Chilean economy. Allende destroyed the Chilean economy. The most we did was to give out less foreign aid, and no loans from the World Bank. They still got loans from the IMF and they found lines of credit from Europe.

Another thing is, they expropriated property from U.S firms when they nationalized copper and we didn't even cut off all foreign aid to them. Which is what we usually do when countries pull this shit.
