A few days after 9/11, a Sikh man was shot dead because turbans are stereotypically associated w Muslims. A white supremacist killed two men and wounded a third on Sept 15th. Mosques were vandalised. The number of hate crimes against Muslims increased by 1,600% https://twitter.com/paulkrugman/status/1304385740063805440
