“Able bodied men” might seem like a more military term but it means “active men” in practical terms. That’s a wrong choice of words but truly agriculture is the way. I’ll give you reasons why agriculture can ignite more growth in 🇳🇬 .
1/ there’s more to agriculture than cutlasses and hoes, there’s more to selling your yields. 🇳🇬 agriculture sector mightn’t be mechanized as it ought to be, but it could be if people care to reason. Listing more things agriculture can transform in 🇳🇬
2/ science, for better yield in agriculture it needs sciences, biology, chemistry, physics. The soil needs to be studied, apply appropriate chemicals to yield. Or food science helping livestock grows healthier (even us human beings needs food science)
3/ engineering, agricultural engineering isn’t just about irrigation and tractors, it cut across storages and preservation and greenhouse. Okay GMO too. But not my choice.
4/ food processing and packaging, people practically dies from the food they eat. (This was my thesis, google BPA). I recently watched a video where in 🇯🇵 I think, has made an edible water pack without using plastic bottle. But 🇳🇬 still lags in the polymer market.
(you wear polymer, your 🚗 use polymer, our foods are packaged with polymer, in contexts, whether biopolymer or synthetic, we lag in another reality thinking tech is the way)
We needed reform and we’re getting them but we’re not going along with these things, seems we want be 🇺🇸 and 🇮🇳 like magic. Take a look at this perspective, imagine I bought some hectares in Ekiti, I needed to clear the land and get ready for the season.
Had a structural plan for where the storage, lab, stores for machinery, water and irrigation system would be located. Employed some able bodied men, assigned to the lab, storage and preservatives and mechanized personnel.
We don’t have light but we pay taxes so we clamor it on them daily, or we use Eco. We want to begin with our objectives but we need advisory, why can’t we’ve (the real) agritech that act as one, helps our processes through cultivation and harvest.
Yields period, we’ve outsourced our logistics duties to a partner. Who would help us with our export since we don’t have lot of processing companies in the country. If we can’t build one then we will plan increasing our yields for exports.
Did you see job opportunity in all these things, real paying jobs opportunities that equates skills for the certification you’ve?
The govt giving us a platform now to use. Ban FX on import of some agricultural products, meaning if we can increase our yields the companies can buy more in Naira rather than outsourcing abroad in $.
There are four revolutions that makes a nation attain development, agriculture, industry, services, manufacturing. 🇮🇩 does agriculture, 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 have the industries, 🇺🇸 dominates the services, 🇨🇳 operate in the manufacturing.
Not saying they do it together but they strengthened one and used the others as balance). 🇳🇬 can harness into agriculture as history as always foretells, and services using tech support to improve efficiency and increase productivity.
Abeg change your mindset. Anyways I believe ASUU, bunches of clueless people. #Replicatevalue9ja
