@eddiekenny9 found that a lot of engineers in XP workshops he ran not only hadn't heard of XP, but also didn't have a great understanding of things like continuous integration, test-driven development, pair programming, etc.
Big light bulb moment.

With the ubiquity of SCRUM, people moving around are only experiencing SCRUM teams.
It therefore probably shouldn't be surprised that it's not well-known or understood, and you can't assume people know this stuff.

Psychological safety is important. If you're a senior person in a team, admitting you don't really know about XP practices could challenge your sense of identity/safety.

Engineers and engineering teams still seem to love "the big reveal". Handing something complete over at the end, and only getting our first feedback at the end.
Feedback is important, but we have to sacrifice "the big reveal".

Remote pair programming or mob programming might be a little more awkward, but it's a social activity so there are other benefits to giving it a go to help tackle loneliness while people are working remotely.

I had a couple of "aha" moments during this. I'll retweet with them.
