MOST LIKELY TO WORK PART TIME IN MULTIPLE JOBS. Most likely to work alongside studies. Most likely to be exploited by casual work with limited employment rights. Most likely to have increased hazardous tasks due to covid without the correct PPE or training.
ALL my friends working in retail or hospitality have seen the standards slide over the past few weeks. They’re no longer being given correct PPE. They’re no longer encouraged to socially distance bc it slows down work. It’s a toxic work culture centred on peer-pressure.
I’ve had friends tell me that if someone catches covid they’ve to stay off: but work has to keep going bc the work can’t afford to close. And who will whistleblow on that? H&S is always the first thing to go over profit. And individual staff on £8ph have no control over it. Gtfo.
