Interesting female scholarship "experiment": 27 US antitrust professors (26 men, 1 woman) were asked to list their 3 favourite antitrust articles. Results: of 86 pieces cited, only 4 were authored or co-authored by women @GenderAvenger

THREAD (1/8) https://leconcurrentialiste.com/antitrust-professors-favorite-articles/
The previous year, 18 European academics were asked the same question (15 men, 3 women). Results: of 57 pieces, only 9 were authored or co-authored by women (2/8) https://leconcurrentialiste.com/competition-law-academics-favourite-articles/
Two questions arise: 1) why are so few women invited to participate in , and 2) why is female scholarship in this field virtually ignored, or not held in high regard? There is certainly no lack of women antitrust experts and female academic writings (3/8)
It might be that 1) and 2) are linked: few women interviewed, therefore few women articles cited. However, it is worth noting that, of the 4 women asked, only 1 lists pieces authored by women. Food for thought (4/8)
Are women's works not being read? Are they not getting published in the best journals? Are they not as good? Is it unconscious bias? It would be helpful for those who took part in this exercise to reflect on their choices (5/8)

A final clarification: this thread is NOT attacking neither the person who put together these lists nor the participants. It simply intends to raise awareness and invite reflection on this important issue @GenderAvenger @ManelWatchUS @ManelWatchAU @_WomenSpeakers_ (8/8)
