I marvel at what an engine of misery Brexit has proven to be. It has:

- Broken friendships and families;
- Ignited and then fed a culture war;
- Soured relationships with our allies and neighbours; /1

- Narrowed the prospects of our children;
- Emboldened the far right;

- Left employment and environmental standards vulnerable;

I struggle to see what benefit would compensate for that. I hope we can overcome the harm we've done. /end
