BDSM: Aftercare aspect
A Thread
A Thread
(1) Some people perceive Sexual acts with BDSM nature is gruelling, Pain, Inhumane without any emotional aspects, but in fact that's a wrong perception that I'll try to address in this little thread.
(2) I usually told my Submissives (Or they the one that told me) past and present that if you/me don't catch any emotional feelings towards each other, you're doing it wrong.
(3) Emotional aspects plays a big role in BDSM since you wouldn't just submit to a Dominant blindly do you? or you wouldn't just dominate anyone randomly? That would be irrational and defies the SSC aspects of BDSM
(4) Returning to the topic Aftercare, It's important to tend to your partner after scenes/acts so they wouldn't feel neglected.
(5) Leaving your Submissive right after you reach your own satisfaction (Orgasm, Tired, Ect) while neglecting and abandoning your Submissive isn't something that's ethical. Treat someone the way you would want to be treated is the basic of aftercare. Treat your partner right.
(6) Aftercare can varies depending on preferences and what's appropriate for that particular moment, pillow talks, cuddling, showering, or just chatting to perhaps mending your partner's physical injuries inflicted from the prior BDSM activities.
(7) For Dominants: Showing that you care and you have compassion beyond the scope of a Dominant is not a sign of weakness. Dominant isn't have to be all "macho", rough, scruffy and demanding all the times since a Dominant have to provide guidance to their Submissives
(8) For Submissives, Talk to your Dominant about this, Yes being "Used and Abused" sometimes is the job description but being neglected isn't. know yourself and your Dominant's preferences and make aftercare a part of the activities. Normalize it !
(9) Lastly I'd say that this short thread is not all about Aftercare, it also talks about how BDSM relationship isn't just about violence or raw primal sexual acts. it's also compassionate, passionful and enjoyable when done properly with peoples that enjoys it.
(10) Thank you for reading ! i hope this thread can give some insights to those who read it !
