BGC members have also taken steps to reduce the amount of betting ads shown during live sport. Independent analysis shows the ‘whistle-to-whistle ban’ has virtually eliminated the ability of young people to see them. 4/6
In addition, we have also introduced new measures to educate football fans about safer gambling and further prevent under-18s being able to view betting ads online. 5/6
