I’ve been thinking. I noticed during #LatinxPrePitch that there were a lot of “slice of life” stories being pitched, which I’ve heard was a no-no. I grew up listening to story after story and proverbs and idioms from my Latina mother and if I’m not the only one...

...then could it be that we tend to want to write stories in that manner? Could it be that the industry needs to not just add more diverse voices but diverse storytelling? No more “your story has to be told in this way,” but rather, “how do you tell stories?” #LatinxPitch
