TAKE SHELTER IN PARMATMA'S FEET TO BECOME FEARLESS.

When there is fear around, be it for lack of things etc,the devotee aspires security, wants to get rid of this fear. Therefore he prays to Parmatma.

But when we are in Parmatma's shelter our downfall is not possible. This can be looked upon as knowledge angle. From bhakti angle this is Upaasana or worship. Parmatma protects his bhakts since they have surrendered to him totally in their worship.

The sages all show us the path to Parmatma.

त्वम॑ग्ने प्रथ॒मो अंगि॑रा॒ ऋषि॑र्दे॒वो दे॒वाना॑मभवः शि॒वः सखा॑ ।
तव॑ व्र॒ते क॒वयो॑ विद्म॒नाप॒सोऽजा॑यंत म॒रुतो॒ भ्राज॑दृष्टयः ॥

Translation:

अग्ने - Oh Agnidev!

त्वम् - You.

प्रथमः - First.

अंगिरा - Angira.

ऋषि - Sage.

अभवः - To be.

देवः - Deities.

देवानाम् - Of other Deities.

शिवः - Worth watching.

सखा - Friend.

तव - Yours.

व्रते - As per rules.

कवयः - Intelligence.

विद्मनापसः - Of known karmas.

भ्राजदृष्टयः - With weapons.

मरूतः - Deity.

अजायन्त - To be.

Explanation:This mantra praises Agnidev that firstly You appeared as Rishi Angira.Then you are the divine one who looks after the welfare of others and the all knowing friend of devtas.
