Just spent 6 days driving from Toronto, Ontario to Victoria, BC. This road trip was a big item to cross off my bucket list. Canada is friggin beautiful. 
Here are some of my favourite tidbits from along the way (a thread).

1. Ontario lasts forever. I couldn’t believe we were still in ON when we got to Sault St. Marie (the Sue). Who would’ve thought it would take two more days to get to Manitoba!
2.Lake Superior is like a freshwater ocean. It’s HUGE. The waves are so big you can surf - I wish i did. New item for the bucket list?
3. If you visit Sleeping Giant National Park, you’ll catch yourself saying “I CAN’T believe we’re in Ontario” 100 times. Between the rolling mountains, cliffs, canyons, and crystal blue water, it’s hard to believe. You should def stop here for 2 days to get the summit hike in. 
4. There are waterfalls (almost) as big as Niagara Falls along the way. They’re called Kakabeka Falls and are definitely worth the stop.
5. A box of wine is never a bad idea. Especially if you’re car camping. Had to throw this one in here! 
6. Saskatchewan is FLAT! No exaggeration... there are hay bales as far as the eye can see. Listening to the Sheepdogs is, of course, mandatory.
7. There are hilarious businesses in Moosejaw, SK. The first is Buds & Suds - a car wash and BBQ grill combo. The second is Lin’s Laundry - a laundromat and Chinese/Canadian fusion restaurant combo. Need to go back.
8. Alberta is (arguably) the best part of the drive. Going from flat farm fields to Rocky Mountains in the same province is epic. Bonus if you stop off at one of the lakes near Banff (we went to Emerald).
9. Victoria is such a vibe. I’d never been before, and loved driving on the ferry to get here. The views are serene and the island gives me a Halifax-meets-California feel. SO happy to be here and glad we were able to road trip out safely (with masks and lots of sanitizer)!
