I saw something the other day that should've been obvious, but it has had me thinking: queer folks writing queer work isn't automatically ownvoices -- for example, a white queer person writing a queer poc main isn't exactly ownvoices.

There is also a lot of transphobia in the LGBTQIA+ community. A cis queer person writing a trans queer person is not ownvoices, either.
It has made me think more about whether or not I use ownvoices and for which comics.

I am more likely to trust queer work by queer people, whether it is ownvoices or not! I think it's a little less likely to surprise me in a bad way. But I think those are things worth thinking about.
