It's suddenly became cool again to hate on Obama and I have decided that yall need a history lesson. Here's a thread of all the things Obama's administration did:
Passed healthcare reform through the Affordable Care Act in 2010. This allowed healthcare coverage of people with preexisting conditions, young adults to stay on their parents’ policies, and banned annual/lifetime caps on benefits. 20 million fewer Americans are uninsured since.
Helped recover the US economy since the recession with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 and regulated Wall Street with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in 2010
Sighed the Executive Order 13491 which banned “enhanced interrogation” aka torture techniques used by government organizations especially the CIA, eliminated Bin Laden, brought home 90 percent of the nearly 180,000 troops who were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan
Created a “Clean Power Plan” in 2015 setting the first carbon pollution standards for existing power plants. Joined the Paris Agreement. Designated more than two million acres as wilderness, and protected over 1,000 miles of rivers.
Signed 2015 USA Freedom Act which banned the governmental collection of bulk data, created Net Neutrality, and expanded broadband coverage. Trimmed the missile defense budget. Initiated the biannual Nuclear Security Summit which addressed the threat of Nuclear Weapons
Passed Fair Sentencing Act which helped eliminated the five-year mandatory minimum sentence for simple possession of crack cocaine and reduced the disparity between the amount of cocaine needed to receive certain federal criminal penalties
Sighed an executive order to ‘Ban the Box’ for all federal employers which allowed ex-felons find jobs and prohibited federal contractors from discriminating against their workers on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’’
Expanded Pell Grants, ended the practice of the federal government subsidizing banks to provide college loans, cracked down on predatory for-profit colleges. Created DACA which protected children/young adults who were brought here illegally at a young age
Signed Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009, which prohibits credit card companies from raising rates without advance notification, mandates a grace period on interest rate increases, and strictly limits overdraft and other fees.
Launched the program "Opening Doors", which has led to an almost 50 percent decline in the number of homeless veterans since 2010, expanded overtime pay, cut the deficit, improved school nutrition through the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act and declared carbon dioxide a pollutant,
Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009 which allowed women who are paid less than men for the same work the right to sue their employers and expanded the definition of hate crimes
Obama has done other things but it's also important to realize how much more he could have done if he wasn't blocked by the courts and Republicans

Anyway vote for Biden 😊

Also excuse spelling and grammar mistakes lol
Also people are taking this thread wrong. I'm not saying he was entirely good but I'm against just saying he was bad for the sake of it. I might not have agreed with him on foreign policy that much but he did great things domestically.
