@DHMresearch has new % out today on Oregon voters' opinions of the ongoing protests generally and specifically in Portland. Key findings.

1. Most voters disapprove of Trump, Brown and Wheeler's responses to the protest. They are split on the Portland police.
2. Most voters disapprove of the ongoing protests in Portland, including 61% of voters in the metro area.
3. Most voters do NOT think that the protests in Portland are helpful to Black Portlanders, race relations, or efforts to reform the police.
4. A majority of Oregonians believe that the protest in Portland have been mostly violent. Among voters in the metro area 48% say they have been mostly violent, 45% mostly peaceful.
5. A plurality of Oregon voters believe that the Portland police have not been forceful enough in their response to protests.
6. 55% of Oregon voters say that "riot" is a more accurate description of the events in Portland versus 37% who think "protest" is more accurate. In the Portland metro area it is 49% "riot" and 43% "protest."
