Taiwan’s CECC video went through 2x2 table calculations w/ these parameter to illustrate the negative downstream impact of FPs & FNs test results:

Instead of mass screening, #Taiwan tests only symptomatic ppl & focuses its resource on breaking all possible chains of transmission:
- enforce 14d quarantine w/ ‘digital fence’ for all inbound travellers
- all confirmed COVIDA-19 cases are isolated in community hospitals

For a pop’n of nearly the size of Australia, #Taiwan (23.7million pop’n) has effectively eliminated community transmission w/in its border.
Total case numbers are approaching 500, but total deaths remain at 7 since @Healthmac asked about False Positive result a while back. https://twitter.com/mohw_taiwan/status/1303575052957282304

Due to difference in testing strategy (Taiwan remained steadfast in testing individuals only at onset of symptoms, albeit even if very mild symptoms), the False Positive test result would occur at a much lower rate in #Taiwan 
than in Canada
