There is a fine line between hot takes and just assholery. Skip Bayless practices the latter. There is a stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community and men, in general. Here's why. https://twitter.com/TorelloSports/status/1304126469279494145
From the time, some of us are kids, we were told to not cry or be sad. That, as Black men and women, we have to be strong all the time, fighting through pain. I can say, with a certainty:

That is not the way to live life and hurts more than it helps.
Mental health in the Black community has evolved but it's not a far stretch to remember the one "crazy" relative that sat in the other room during family events. We've all been there.
Depression is real. People battle it every day. Bayless is the dude that probably thinks a disease is only real, if you can see it.

That will never be it, you leathery douchebag. Dak Prescott lost his brother and it crushed his world. **** football at that point.
When I was around Dak's age, my father died from esophageal cancer. I watched him wither away for two gotdamn years. Try giving your 6'4", 93 pound father a bath because he can't move anymore. I was hurt. I was depressed. My hero was dying. Grief takes a toll.
Football is important. However, it will never be more important than loved one. Proclaiming that Dak is the QB of America's team, like anyone gives a shit.

Man lost a sibling. Instead of being a human, you choose the clown route, again.
People will say " Skip doesn't mean it. It's just for ratings" First, you're a grownassed man named Skip. Unless your last name is To My Lou or you're an Uno card you shouldn't be taken seriously.
Before anyone snitch-tags

Black people aren't soulless robots that don't feel anguish or pain. That is some J.Marion Sims bullshit right there. Death hits us differently because we have to endure it in more ways that a rich, privileged White dude will ever.
From Alonzo Spellman to Dimitrius Underwood to today, y'all need to stop discounting Black mental health.

I don't believe I need to day this to someone in the 60s:

Grow TF up.
