and the only way through is by sticking to simple, clear moral principles, like, the categorical imperative, or, whoring out children to create a social critique about children not liking being whores, is still whoring out children
everyone gets it, no one doesn't get it, it's not some huge clever trick and sleight of hand. "but they want you to condemn them, they want you to drive marketing and buzz", ok cool what's the fucking problem, condemn them anyway
obviously you don't accept the premise of whatever is being proposed and you critique it for being the exact thing it's trying to oppose in some high minded way where you make emotional porn for old women and that somehow is going to help children feel less shit
it doesn't matter what their stated goal is it matters what it *does*, and it does willingly engage in the exact thing everyone who gets "upset" is "too stupid to realise" it's actually "a critique of"
or I mean I guess you can dance on the industrialised suffering of innocents proving how more cleverer you are than everyone. that's pretty cool too
