I knew girls in 6th/7th grade who
- were in dance groups that were very sexual
- acted out sexually because of their strict parents
- lied about their age to adult men
- would look at hard porn
- had their nudes/sexts leaked
- lost their v
ask any gen Z girl; this is realistic

they aren't positive, but nonetheless happen to the majority of girls who have access to a cell phone and are in public school
it's about time we stop pretending kids being sexualized is just something that happens in Hollywood and not to almost every Gen Z girl in the West

the normalization occurs when we turn a blind eye or insist that these cases of degeneracy in our youth are isolated incidents, surely not the majority

there is a reason why at the end of the movie the Muslim girl leaves the dance troupe and returns to her old lifestyle ...
she realized how unhealthy sexualizing herself was, which unfortunately is not a conclusion most girls can ever make for themselves in the west

whether or not the Netflix execs or BuzzFeed writers understood this (((they didn't))) doesn't change the intended purpose of this movie and actually supports the message:

this film is clearly a Trojan horse:
you expect it to be supportive of young girls "expressing their sexual freedom", but, as you watch, you become increasingly disgusted and offput by the premise of the main character rebelling and being a whore
until at the end she rejects it

this movie also came out at a great time: during the peak of people realizing how dangerous tiktok is
it doesn't take a lot of digging to see the sheer number of 11 year old girls performing dances just as sexual as in the movie on tiktok without parental oversight
