Today, I'm seeing a lot of #chronicpain/ #intractablepain community members going in on politics, thinking that politicians care one way or the other. Here's the truth about that. Warning: don't read if you don't want to know. #thread

2) Donald Trump's White House has been notoriously anti-opiod for the past four years. https://www.whitehouse.gov/opioids/
2) The 2016 #CDC guidelines were approved under Barack Obama. That's just a fact. No link needed. Moving on.
3) This is not a political issue. This is a humanitarian issue that has been politicized. Yes, there have been overdoses (many), but NOT in the #chronicpain community. Those overdoses barely increased. #Illicitfentanyl/ #heroin, however, have skyrocketed.
4) The @HRW has written no less than four reports demonstrating the remarkable harms that have come to the #painpatients in the United States as a result of the harmful CDC guidelines that, by all rights, seem based on incredibly false info and narratives. (see pinned tweet).
5) No political party save MAYBE the #greenparty has admitted that this has happened and acknowledged that, while MMJ would, legalized, help MANY, it would not help all. For example, myself. It doesn't help me. It actually does nothing for my pain.
6) I encourage EVERY #CPP/ #IPP to please learn all facts before deciding that either side of the main bipartisanship cares about our well-being. They have made it clear that money matters over life. We are casualties in their greed. #PainPatients are human beings.
7) Please educate yourselves and help us to educate others. Learn the truth. Regardless of political affiliation, this is not AT ALL a political issue. Please understand that. If it were, then @GovMLG and @NMDEMS would be listening to that list on my profile instead of money.
