In 20 minutes, Ubisoft are going to be hosting another #UbiForward livestream, with a bunch of reveals and gameplay footage.

You can watch live here: https://www.twitch.tv/ubisoft

Or I will be tweeting news and reveals in replies to this thread, alongside a little company commentary.
Before we start, I will acknowledge that yes, Ubisoft did issue an appology video, hosted by Yves Guillemot, shortly before this presentation.

It was super vague, did not address specifics, used distancing language and will not air during the livestream. https://twitter.com/Ubisoft/status/1304087578094841856
Ubisoft have in multiple tweets stated that they are not including the appology in their livestream due to "time constraints"

It's a four minute video. They can run four mins long if they want. They don't want to put that appology near their big shiny game reveals.
As such, i still plan to occasionally include messages about Ubisoft's accusations in this tweet thread.

Yes, they appologised. No, they did not issue a specific appology, in the place all the attention is tonight. I aim to combat that as best I can.
So expect Ubisoft news, and also occassional reminders what Yves means when he says "behaviour not in line with company conduct"
Roller Champions update time. Releasing "early 2021".

October, they're going to start doing videos giving more info. Developer videos etc.

More info being shown later in the post show.
Ubisoft took four minutes showing "epic gamer moments" before their livestream began. Would have been a perfect moment to cut to fit in that appology.
Starting with Gods and Monsters, which is no longer called that.

CGI trailer looks a little cheap in places. Protagonist has been aged up / is no longer a child.

Action adventure about killing greek gods.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising is releasing December 3rd 2020.
3rd person open world adventure game. Play as Fenyx. Go save the gods by murdering stuff.

Game has a character creator.
Allegedly, back in July, the head of HR at Ubisoft Montreal threatened to quit with half his team unless Yves Guillemot absolved HR of any responsibility for harassment issues within the company.
Oh, Stadia exists still. Fenyx Rising will come to Stadia launch day. Stadia will be the ONLY place to try a demo of Fenyx Rising before it's released.

Oh, so that explains how Stadia accidentally leaked a playable build a few months back haha
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remaster officially revealed.

I bet Ubisoft wish they could control the flow of time, to go back and find four mins to include an appology in this livestream.
January 21st 2021 for Prince of PErsia, if you were wondering.
Ubisoft wants to remind us about Hyper Scape, that game that definitely didn;t get announced ahead of the first UbiForward to draw headlines away from all the abuse allegations which were surfacing that same week.
Ubisoft are waffling about esports, so time for more Ubisoft Facts.

The allegations Ubisoft faced over the past few months were not just “behaviour not in line with company mentality”, The accusations ranged from sexist behaviour, up to repeated accusations of sexual assault.
Pretty sure they could have cut this 2021 esports tease, and made four minutes of space, with which to fit in their appology video that they had no space for.
Sam Fisher is coming to Rainbow Six seige.

Hopefully that goes better than the mobile game Ubisoft recently released with him in, which seemed to present BLM as a terror organisation that was a cover for the new world order, overseen by Yves son.
Oh, cool, that Scott Pilgrim video game is coming back.

Knives and Wallace as playable characters. Coming Holiday 2020.

Try not to think too hard about how kind of shitty Scott in the source material treated women. He was a bit of a dick to a lot of women.
Okay, no jokes, but right now I am watching a CGI mo-cap Stormzy performing in totally not Brexit Britain.

There's a mission you can play in Watch Dogs: Legion to seemingly play as him in the game? I think that's what they revealed.
To be clear, I 100% know the point of ~Scott Pilgrim the comic and movie is he is a dick to women, and tries to learn to be better as a person.

Unlike the game, which skims over all his mistreatment of women... Just like a certain company.
Iconic hero Aiden Pearce, alongside his iconic hat, are coming back to Watch Dogs: Legion post launch.

Get more of his plot, because everyone loved him.
According to Bloomberg - Ubisoft Staff openly made misogynist or racist comments across the publisher’s various offices, and senior executives took part and escalated the misconduct in the form of inappropriate touching or other sexual advances, current and former employees say.
Riders Republic is a huge multiplayer game about traveling down hill on bikes or skis etc, but like, with a bunch of people.
There's going to be a post show, but that's basically it.

Well, before I wrap up, why not close on one more Ubisoft fact reminder...
Bloomberg - Hascoët sometimes held business meetings at strip clubs. The women elected not to attend those outings and said their careers suffered as a result. They were frustrated to watch Hascoët promote many of his strip club buddies to creative directors.
And there you go, that's me done for this livetweet thread.

Hope I've given you all the reasons you need to be super excited about Ubisoft's games, and to not be happy about their practices.

God, they 100% had time to do a 4 min appology in this.
