For instance, the weird Yiddish stuff on Umbrella Academy? Hate it. After learning the creator/writer is Jewish? I'm no longer *offended*. But I still think it's a bad, stupid choice lol. There is no magical co-sign you can get, from a sensitivity reader or from your own IDs.
I have a Jewish vampire story in my back pocket that would get me absolutely reamed by some other Jewish people, and I'd expect that, because it plays with controversial themes! That's one reason I decided long ago I'm happier behind-the-scenes -- this shit scares me lol.

Anyway I had major surgery 7 days ago and brain not so great at the moment, so I will stop talking now. But god, all this shit makes me crazy.
