A very brief Talor Battle thread because occasionally people should be reminded of how insane he was. Curry drafted in 2009, but Battle wasn’t far behind that curve.
Really his signature moment given Penn State’s place on the bubble. Didn’t make NCAA’s but 27-win season (and first NIT Title) still program high mark.
This shot was remarkable, but even more so because it was in such close proximity to the Illinois winner. Season ends with a miss.
Lastly, always thought it was fitting Battle’s last shot was this make. And fitting - in a way - that his career would end on the kind of last second heartbreaking shot he had given to so many teams before.
If Penn State wins that game Battle would have faced Kawhi Leonard in the second round.
