This is what a lot of people don't realize. A lot of committed believers think that once someone leaves a religion, they're in this insulated secular bubble. That could not be further from the truth. https://twitter.com/By_Kemi/status/1304054533853786113
If you are an atheist in a very religious family, it is often not smooth sailing. Subtle to overt digs at your lack of faith can be commonplace, which further makes one feel isolated. The same type of thing can come from religious ppl who were once your friends or...
..."looked up to you" who now see your atheism as cause for condemnation.
There are also situations in which family members have disowned or cut off support of their dependent atheist children. Some fear for their lives. Some end up living their lives in constant anxiety.
If you dealt with trauma stemming from religious institutions, you still carry that with you. That does not all of a sudden go away because you left religion.
There is also an "internal rewiring" that has to happen. For example, you once believed you'll see your loved ones again in the afterlife. Now as an atheist, you no longer believe that. This may cause a 2nd phase of mourning: mourning that you won't see your loved one again.
Mourning can take multiple forms when one leaves religion. From friends, loved ones, and romantic partners leaving them, to mourning an identity they used to hold dear...it can be a lot, especially if you were once very devout.
If you are a pastor who has left Christianity, it can be especially difficult both socially and from an employment perspective. I sometimes wonder how many pastors are still pastoring who no longer believe, but are opting for more inspirational, less religion-ladden sermons...
...in order to blend in.
And we haven't even talked about how the religious climate of a society can impact an atheist's daily life.
From this thread (and the inconsistencies an atheist finds in many a religious text), it shouldn't be surprising that an atheist would be so vocally critical and, in some cases, harshly disapproving of religion.
Religious person: "Why won't atheists leave our faith alone? Why are they talking on top of our matter?"

Because, among other reasons, religion refuses to leave atheists alone.
P.S.—To whom it may concern: if you're annoyed by vocal atheists on Twitter, maybe block them and don't follow them and constantly engage with them.
P.P.S.—"Atheist on Twitter but you parents will drag you to church/family devotion" and other similar phrases are not the smart statements you think they are. It is only evidence of how pervasive your religion exists in society. It's an own goal.
