As today's Twitter Main Character screams, "no no I wasn't talking about all of you, I just was trying to insult this one person I didn't name when I made my shitty generalization tweets" I think maybe we should all think hard about Subtweets And You: A Tragedy.

Getting onto twitter in 2020, The Year Of Hell, and making snarky comments you mean for one specific person is perhaps very cathartic!

It turns out, you can't directly target the damage/hurt you cause when you just bitch about vague shit, though!

Last week we had like 15 different rolling blow-ups going through Romancelandia and most people had the context for like 5 of them, max.

A subtweet last week probably alienated people you didn't mean to for reasons you'll probably never know.

Anyway, everyone should tweet whatever they want. I'm not exactly the Moral Authority on Not Subtweeting because I have zero impulse control & have done it lots.

It's also backfired on me. Lots. So I'm thinking about that right now.
