Yesterday @stonewalluk went full racist. According to them, when black people have intersex conditions it proves a biological difference (by reframing chromosomal and hormonal differences as RACIAL, for the love of god) between non-white women and white women.
But when white people have intersex conditions they say... nothing. White women continue to be women, they even refer to them as a "blueprint". Any DSDs among white people are conveniently ignored, despite the fact that they exist in the human population as a whole.
I'm not going to comment on the Semenya case because there are sports scientists and many intersex people on twitter who know way more than me, but I will remind everyone that intersex athletes in the past have come from Poland, Russia, Germany and have been most definitely WHITE
We live in strange times. Black people are being spoken about constantly, honestly, openly and in many cases painfully. It has been such an opportunity for people to legitimize their own demands by piggybacking them on black people, even if they have to outright lie to do it.
Who is it you accuse of centering their frameworks on white women?? Is it these women? How many black athletes are you planning to accuse of adapting themselves to some "white blueprint"? https://twitter.com/bc_Sanders/status/1301737933532049408?s=20
I suspect Semenya isn't actually the focus of their concern. Black women aren't either, they're just kind of useful when you want to suggest they are masculine to try and make a point for your cause.
And their cause is people like Hannah Mouncey:
They are prepared to suggest that black women have chromosomal and hormonal differences, they are prepared to suggest that black women who are simply women are representative of a "white blueprint", they are prepared appropriate intersex conditions, all for people like Mouncey.
So I'm glad they put this little warning at the beginning of their thread yesterday, because every word of it was dripping with casual racism, appropriation and, as always, lies.
