why you should NOT use these headers or any variations of it; a thread
it’s performative. you’re taking a situation that negatively impacts minority groups and saying “hey look at me! i don’t accept that! i’m a good person!” it also does virtually nothing besides show that you’re “woke”.
it’s making being a decent person into an aesthetic. not being racist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc. shouldn’t be seen as a niche and cool thing. whether you’re aware of it or not you’re turning the issue into a trend and making it easy for people to be performative.
instead of making these headers you should be rting important info, checking im on your black (other minorities too) followers, and educating yourself on what allyship is.
tldr; it does nothing except try to make you look good and doesn’t help anyone negatively effected by what’s going om
