We are introducing some important changes to the way that we work with innovators and researchers: https://www.ukri.org/news/ukri-reducing-unnecessary-bureaucracy/
The changes are part of government’s plans to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy (1/6)
We are committed to freeing researchers and innovators from unnecessary bureaucracy. We will build on the work we are already doing to streamline and simplify our processes, and on the valuable lessons we have learned from our response to the coronavirus pandemic. (2/6)
Changes will include: an efficient two-stage application process for standard grants; an improved, fully digital grants application system; a new format for providing CV and track record information. (3/6)
We will streamline our grant schemes; stop multiple asks for data; harmonise reporting requirements; ensure there is just one information document for calls; reduce the number of mandatory reporting questions for the Researchfish 2020 submission period. (4/6)
We will review the eligibility criteria for organisations to apply for funding; the process for final expenditure statements; the use of TRAC to identify and implement improvements. And we will develop a more efficient, risk-based funding assurance approach. (5/6)
We will work with our stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate the impact of the changes. Find out more: https://www.ukri.org/news/ukri-reducing-unnecessary-bureaucracy/ (6/6)
