okay so thread on bellamy’s ‘death’ (yes i may be clowning but hear me out ok)
the reason clarke didn’t take the book is because it was never about the book in the first place, it was about the knowledge of madi having commander memories without having the flame, and bellamy and sheidheda knew that because of the book
clarke is a mother, maybe not biologically but madi is still her daughter, and as bellamy once said ‘mother bears don’t think they just protect their young’ or something like that, bellamy KNEW clarke would do absolutely anything to keep madi safe
and how could she trust him when he said no harm would come to madi when he promised he would protect madi back in season 5 but he still put the flame in her head without clarke’s permission ???
clarke had to shoot bellamy and she genuinely had to make it a kill shot because if he would’ve made cadogan aware madi has commander memories, they would’ve forced madi into mcap and tortured her to get the memories from her to find out how to get to the last war or whatever
with the knowledge of the book, bellamy knew about madi’s memories and clarke’s daughter was at risk, therefore she had to kill him to save her child. clarke has always been about saving her people, but after being alone with madi for 6 years, madi became her person
however i don’t think bellamy is actually dead because why would that make sense?? he was left in a room with sheidheda who wanted to help bellamy if bellamy helped him,, and i truly believe the hand on bellamy’s chest at the end of the episode is sheidhedas
call me a clown or whatever but don’t hate on clarke, it was NEVER about the book, it was about keeping madi safe no matter what had to happen. even if she had to ‘kill’ her best friend to keep her daughter safe, clarke would stop at nothing to ensure madi’s safety
ending this with my hold on bellarke edit bc if u need closure maybe this will give it to you
