The Times is framing that 80 percent figure like it is invidious. But the Baby Boomers, who are by virtue of seniority still running most institutions in America were the whitest and least foreign born generation in American history -- 85 percent white.
This breathless reportage of statistics as if they prove the opposite of what they are insinuated to prove is most farcically self-parodic with regard to gender, where industries totally dominated by women are reported to suffer from a crisis of underrepresentation
