Good morning. Today the Senate GOP wants to vote on a COVID-19 "relief" bill. Aside from the fact that this bill fails to meet deep needs nationwide, it actually has policies that could undermine response efforts and make people’s lives even harder.

Here's what you need to know.
The Senate GOP bill would give corporations a "get out jail free card" so they aren't held accountable if their employees get sick on the job.
The Senate GOP so-called "relief" bill takes money away from cash-strapped public schools and gives it to private schools—leaving public schools with even less funding & more students, particularly those with disabilities & students of color, behind.
Instead of making sure school districts and educators have the funding they desperately need, the Senate GOP's "relief" bill would advance @BetsyDeVosED's privatization agenda by creating a voucher program.
The Senate GOP bill uses this pandemic as an excuse to gut hard-fought civil rights protections for workers, giving employers a license to discriminate, including on the basis of age, race, sex, and disability status.
This is absolutely not a bipartisan bill as my Republican colleagues have claimed. This is an ideological wish list that will make peoples' lives even harder. I will be voting no.
