I've been meaning to share some great new data from @statsgeekclare &co at @PHE_uk.
For the first time in years we have good data on #smoking in #pregnancy by age, deprivation etc.
A five fold increase in smoking by deprivation decile

A six fold increase in #smoking in #pregnancy by age

Despite the strong age effect, first time mums are less likely to smoke, which I think may underscore the "leveling up" issues.

And, if that weren't enough, the prevalence of complex social factors was twice as high.
