For the non lawyers among us, what @CrimeLineLaw is tweeting is a glimpse into a situation where a Judge (HHJ Raynor) criticised the MoJ for failing to invest in the Court system to get trials going again.

He declined to keep defendants in prison due to their failings.
Then he did it again, and his ruling has been published. Now the ability to decide whether defendants are kept in prison for extended periods has been taken away from him - and given to much more senior Judges, even in cases that are tied to him, where he is the trial Judge.
One of the defendants in the case where this has happened is challenging that decision via their legal team, and HHJ Raynor is also deeply unimpressed.

He has stuck his head up publicly to denounce what is going on.
