Alex Greenwood getting abuse from United about going to City is ridiculous, and here’s why:
rivalries come from history, years of close games and bad decisions. City entered the top division six years ago, United have only existed for !!! two years !!! you literally have NO HISTORY WHATSOEVER
i know that the men’s clubs obviously have a enormous rivalry, but those matches and that passion can’t just be cut and copied over. it doesn’t work like that

you say we want to replicate the men’s game, and i’m more an advocate of this than most, but we can’t just create a carbon copy. we are not the same. we don’t have years of history, big crowds, so why are we trying to replicate the abuse of the men’s game?
maybe when players are earning seven digits and playing in front of 50,000 every week, we’ll see it differently. for now, when there’s only ~2k people in attendance, every bit of abuse IS personal, whether you claim it is or not.
