We've been working to support people from Black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds for some time, though we recognise the need to do more.

Here is how we are committing to change across People, Sector Leadership, and Strategy.
PEOPLE (2/2)
We're setting a new target to double the proportion of Black, Asian and other ethnic minority background staff in Sport England over the next five years.

We are also creating a new position at a senior level to lead our external diversity drive.
LEADERSHIP

Together with @uk_sport, we have begun a wide-ranging review of the Code for Sports Governance. It aims to ensure greater representation of Black, Asian and other minority ethnic groups and may result in specific targets being introduced. https://www.sportengland.org/news/joint-review-code-sports-governance
STRATEGY

We’re committed to using our strategy to help to tackle racism and racial inequality in sport and physical activity.

We’ll set out more details in the coming months as we prepare to publish our plan. https://www.sportengland.org/why-were-here/shaping-our-future-strategy
