People like to talk about how the country is increasingly polarized and divided, as if it’s the responsibility of both sides failing to compromise.

The American left wants very basic things: healthcare, an end to police murders, equal rights. There is nothing radical in this ask. These are things that exist in much greater degrees in other western rich nations.
It’s the right wing that has moved at every step. And when they’re found to be wrong, they simply throw another conspiracy theory in the mix and keep moving.
I know a lot of you want Uncle Joe to save us or whatever, but I’d like to hear how you think he’ll do that.
