Landing this line at toe touch shows up as an aspect of good timing. The forearm and hands land on this squared-off line (neutral). Usually an indication for coverage, adjustability, and good direction. Hitters can achieve this in different ways. *Need a better camera angle.
Some hitters are on this line the entire time. Some, like Conforto, rhythm into this line on their forward move.
Some of the better balls a player will hit will have them landing closer to this landmark on time. It's the no-doubters.
Not all hitters do this, the ones that do seem to do better with both sides of the plate and use the whole field. Adjustability is achieved a lot easier for them as well. Again, several variables, but something to look for.
