When you plant a tree,
it gets time to grow.

You need to water the seed for days, weeks or months until you see the sprout coming through the earth.

That's the sign.

Now, a small tiny tree is in front of your eyes, looking for sun rays.

But that doesn't happen with bamboo.
The Japanese bamboo is a very special form of life.

First weeks, you won't notice any change.

First months, you won't notice any change.

First years, you won't notice any change.

Not at all.

At this stage, most people probably would think the seed is rotten and abandon it...
....but the seed is not rotten.

The seed is rooted.

When nothing seems to change on the outside, the bamboo is growing on the inside.

Silent.
Slowly.
Patient.

Until 7 years.

When that time comes,
everything starts to change.
After SEVEN years,

The bamboo is able to reach more than 30 meters in ONLY 6 WEEKS.

All the roots and strength needed to do it were expanding along the years.

In complete silence.
Without exposure.
Without pause.

Just patience.
I love to think like bamboo when it comes to human nature.

Our deepest understanding on any skill doesn't happen on a moment.

Doesn't happen on a few days.
A few weeks.
A few months.

Even a few years.

It needs time, practice, patience and perseverence to achieve real Mastery.
So that's what I want to share with you today:

Don't rush things.

Don't lose your focus.

Don't stop spreading your roots, no matter if someone is watching or not.

Trust yourself.
Be the process.

See you up there.
