as someone who's very critical of the shows i watch and is VERY PICKY, imo the extra episodes made GB extra impressive to me. tbh, i think I would've been a *LITTLE* disappointed if they just ended at ep 10. so yeah, this opinion is invalid lol https://twitter.com/aksmc29/status/1303865037321244672
a couple reasons why thos extra episodes were a great decision in ideafirst's part:
1. it allowed us to see that gav is human— he has feelings and insecurities and he's not just an ideal man as opposed to how he's generally portrayed in the first 10 eps.

2. it opened a more realistic arc in their relationship. even though the first 10 eps were already quite realistic, it was still very much centered around the romance part of their rs. they needed that fight in ep 12 very much.
3. wesley's introduction was a great choice. we're able to see someone that was already part of cai's life pre-gavreel, and because gav only knew cai and none of the people in his life before he came in, this is a good addition to the story. they have to learn how to navigate+
around new people that will come to their lives as a couple.
4. had they decided to end in ep 10, it would've been a *BIT* anticlimactic. they were building up that part where cai was supposedly leaving for bukidnon, but by ep 10, that wasn't addressed very much (what will happen to their relationship?? etc questions). +
the addition of those 3 episodes provided us more view on the possibilities for cairo and gav's relationship.
5. i feel like whatever will happen on ep 13 will be a more fitting end for gameboys than ep 10. it will tie the smaller loose ends of the story and discuss what needs to be discussed in their relationship. honestly idk what to expect about it but i trust tifc so yeah
overall, these 3 episodes were by far gameboys BEST EPISODES. the creative decisions that ideafirst made for the series is just fitting and i wouldn't have it otherwise.
