We had an abnormally dry winter. Like half the snow and rain. So there’s climate change most likely. So when it’s that dry, the brush is extra dry.
Lightning sparked two of the biggest fires in CA history two weeks ago. Lightning is rare here.
CalFire uses prisoners as fire help. With COVID, they don’t have those as help.
With no many fires burning simultaneously, there aren’t enough firefighters. They are extremely short handed.
So basically it’s whack a mole. Thank you to our firefighters, who are working to stop this so we can stop complaining about our first world problems of breathing in bad air and looking at orange sky.
I’m not an expert, but this will partly explain what’s going on here.
