I've seen or heard a few people saying that analytic philosophy is or has been taken over by the woke and now it's just another woke humanities field etc - said by people who do not relish this prospect! I thought I'd check to see what's being published in prestige journals...
...I looked at generalist ones and some specialist ones. My judgement re what articles are the right sort of focus-on-social categories to count as woke. But reproducing the table of contents and my counts so you can check on me. Ok so! Phil Studies https://link.springer.com/journal/11098/volumes-and-issues/177-10 0/19
Analysis (a whole lot of book reviews not pictured or counted - none relevant, a couple on "conservatism" but both in the sense of metaphysics which aligns with ordinary intuitions). 0/12

Mind https://academic.oup.com/mind/issue 1/10 (the book review)
Journal of Philosophy https://www.pdcnet.org/collection-anonymous/browse?fp=jphil&fq=jphil/Volume/8883%7C117/8994%7CIssue:%206/ 0/4
Philosophy and Phenomenological Review https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/toc/19331592/current 5/14
Journal of Political Philosophy https://www.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/14679760?af=R personally I think this is none out of 5, but the Taking Offence debate piece maybe counts so let's say 1/5
BJPS https://academic.oup.com/bjps/issue 0/14
Phil Science https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/toc/phos/current 1/8 (based on the pictured abstract I'd count it in).
Ergo is hard to picture but it's 1/10 and you can check me here https://www.ergophiljournal.org/ Likewise Phil Imprint is hard to picture but it's 1/4 and you can check me here https://www.philosophersimprint.org/
So for various reasons the count (as in literally just counting how many papers) was difficult for me and I am not confident that will be exactly right, but it's around 12/119, so about 10%. Fellows in the field can judge whether this is a good smattering of prestige journals.
I don't think it's accurate to say a field where about 90% of the prestige articles are not of this type that the field is being "wokeified" or has been "taken over". And I am someone who would benefit from more such work, so I don't take much glee in this. Everyone should chill.
Since a couple of people have asked about the explicitly moral/political journals I looked at three more here based on an old survey of what was prestigious in the field https://twitter.com/lastpositivist/status/1303832983573532682?s=20
