Justice Campbell was hearing motions that day. That saved her life. Not only did he order a stay; despite the crown’s strong opposition, he ordered the matter be case-managed. He remained seized of the matter until she became a permanent resident on humanitarian grounds /3
Client, her young daughter and husband found a new chance at life together. Her daughter at keeping her mom. It was in cases like that where I would feel proudest of being part of the justice system. Because that system also includes the likes of Justice Campbell.
