A continuation from yesterday’s KPI thread: A lot of improvement in team/player performance can be viewed as subjective, not to mention situational. However, if you implement detailed video analysis backed by data and focused KPIs, it's often not the case: contextual objectivity.
That's why having KPIs which are tailored to what your coaches are looking to do (i.e. game model) are so important: If they are too broad/unrefined the marginal gains you'll find in this area will be significantly lessened.
One final thing, which is obvious: They also need to be able to be simplified and explainable enough in a way which the players can relate to! That's what makes video the ultimate (for me) - it provides context like no other and takes much less ability to transfer into training.
