for sol discord: ive been asked a ton about what i combo into from non-ch gunflame, so heres my thread on what i do. ideally, you want to go into jKD then vary depending on height, weight, and screen position. former in here is universal, latter depends on spacing at the rejump
big body variant that does slightly more damage.
in the situation im way too close to do dash jK, i just do jK instead and go for revolver knockdown. because close range gunflame can be finicky with dash up 5k or microdash jP, i find it easier to just do this
if cornered, i usually use this route instead of going for max damage because it gives corner. (not that the dustloop route > rejump route would work outside of them being cornered, anyways).
why i do jK over trying to do run up 5k is also a very common question, and it's because it's more consistent, leads to more damage consistently, and avoids the risk of dropping microdash 5k and getting hit by tech buttons. with jK you at least will be able to FD on your way down
