People did this. Fossil fuels and the greenhouse effect were unfeeling conduits. A range of humans with names and faces are responsible for the decades of stifled action.

We can stop this repeating pattern right now. We know why delay works, and now we know the consequences.

This, like Australia's Black Summer, like floods in Bangladesh and all of it are horrific, but there is still a queue of potential future disasters that can be less intense if we act to make our society safe right now, without delay.

There is no fate. We can always fight.
