Attending (virtual) #APSA2020? Feeling anxious about presenting on the platform? @DTRMasterson and I just went into our panel room (you can go in early!) and so glad I did because...we learned some things (thread: 1/n)
Playing video was wonky - you could hear audio but it didn't sync up with the video.
Powerpoint slides: If you want to share your slides but still have presenter view for you: 1) Go to Presenter View in PPT FIRST 2) Command Tab yourself back to APSA platform 3) THEN share screen 4) pick Slide Show (not presenter view)
We tried different sequences of opening PPT and sharing screen and we found that doing it in a different order we often ended up sharing presenter view (I'm not the most tech savvy, hence my anxiety)
Alternatively: It looks great on the #APSA2020 platform if you 1) make slides as a .pdf 2) open them in preview 3) enter fullscreen and then 4) share your screen.
