Sometime back, a girl tweeted how she tried to argue with a Careem driver about being overcharged and he yelled at her, got abusive and insulted her on the road till she paid up what she didn’t even owe him. All the while people around her just watched.

Men get violent, men get abusive, men will throw acid on you for refusing their advances, men will get you raped by their friends for saying no to their proposals, men will shoot you on your way to college because you didn’t want anything to do with them...

But men will tell you to slap men like these and men will tell you how much a Swiss Army knife costs and how much a self defence course costs. Men will say they want you to fight because men know what men are capable of. But men can’t make men stop.
