BREAKING: President Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner says the Saudi government agreed to allow all eastbound flights from Israel to pass through Saudi airspace – not only flights from Israel to the UAE

Why it matters: Although Saudi Arabia didn’t follow the UAE in normalizing relations with Israel, opening its airspace for flights from and too Israel is a very meaningful step that will have big influence on tourism and the economy

Kushner said that every flight from Israel that will ask for a permit to fly through Saudi airspace will get it. He thanked the Saudi King Salman and Crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman for the gesture and stressed both of them feel strongly about the Palestinian issue

Kushner stressed the tide is changing in the Middle East & Arab countries don’t want their progress to be stopped over the fact that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is stuck. “Many people in the region are losing their patients regarding the Palestinian leadership”, he said

He called the Palestinians to come back to the negotiations table and said the Trump plan is still on the table and could also be improved if the Palestinians come with a counter offer. “But we are not going to chase them”, Kushner said

Kushner did the briefing ahead of the signing ceremony of the Israel-UAE normalization deal next Tuesday at the White House. He said the White House wants the ceremony to be Bi-Partisan & will invite both Democrat & Republican Senators & members of Congress of attend. END
